3: Getin' Drunk feat iFani (produced by THX)
THX, straight out of Los Angeles. Some of you may know him coz he's done work for Snoop Dogg, Swizz Beats and other big names. Dingaan aka St. Bosserati hooked me up with this beat and asked if i could do something amazing. I did. But like most of my other work, it sat on the PC for some sweet dust. iFani heard it and immediately jumped on it. I initially had black sugah in my mind to do the first verse until my-dollars came through and he was like, i can do this. We recorded and i left his verse in coz he felt it so much and to me it was just funny. This kinda reminded me of many so-called MC's out there who could swear their ish is tight with their fake american accents, and you hear em and u just wanna crack up. This is a tribute to them.
My-dollars is beyond fake and he's beyond convinced that he's the ish, not just ish, but rich ish. rich-ish :) But hey, this is no different from what we hear on the radio (and i won't call out any names, you know who they are).
Everytime i feel like dissin' some americans-wanna-be, I'll give the ol'man a shout and crack my ass off. And oh, we were actually drunk while doing this track and we went from take to take. This took about 7 hours to record. If you listen closely on the third verse, iFani's voice changes coz he's pap-dronk! This was one fun session. Can't wait for the video.
